H. Miller

My name is Hailey Miller, and I am a media and communications professional with a passion for creating meaningful and engaging content. I earned my B.A. in Media Arts from the University of North Texas, where I developed skills in film, cinematography, audio production, editing, writing, and live studio work. During this time, my work was not limited to the classroom. In 2022, I completed a communications internship with the Town of Addison, gaining experience in social media management, video editing, content planning, and promotional strategy.

I later earned my M.A. in Mass Communications from Stephen F. Austin State University, where I delved into topics such as media effects, communication theories, and international media to better understand how people receive information and how to effectively send and market a message. Through my work, I was honored to be recognized by my professors as the Outstanding Graduate Student in Mass Communications for 2023–2024. During this time, I also interned with the City of Garland’s Library System, assisting with graphic design and social media scheduling.

From this internship, I continued my career with the City of Garland, where I currently serve as the Downtown Communications Specialist. In this role, I manage the Downtown District website, oversee district social media, support the TIF Board, and share important updates with stakeholders.

I am grateful for the opportunities that have shaped my experience and look forward to continuing to use my creativity to connect communities through thoughtful and impactful communication.
