Town of Addison - 2021

Goals

The main goal of this initiative was to promote local restaurants, by encouraging an interactive experience for patrons and residents.

Subsequent goals include:

  • Defining success for this initiative.
  • Build rapport with local businesses.
  • Shape the image of this initiative for years to come.

 

Objectives

  • Maximize restaurant sales in the month of October.
  • Set a precedent for patron participation.
  • See an influx of media impressions for the month of October.
  • See a significant number of check-ins

My roll in this workflow was to generate social media content through connecting and collaborating with business owners/managers to capture and compile highlights of their establishments. All work was to be approved by Amber Patterson.

Content

Though there were various forms of paid advertisement, my responsibility was social media content. On Facebook and Instagram, I utilized reels and video editing to create appealing content for this initiative.

  • Video describing how residents can access restaurant month passes to participate.
  • A series of reels highlighting individual participating establishments.

Outcome

Addison Restaurant Month 2022 had 41 restaurants participate, providing deals and promotions to patrons during the month of October. 843 patrons downloaded passes in order to participate and have a chance to win prizes of which 120+ were given.
